Welcome back to Inside 25/8 Fintech.

When we build in public, we often talk about numbers, code, and financial rails. But this week, I want to connect the dots of three highly personal moments that happened in our engine room. They represent the three pillars of sustainable growth: mathematical reality, human trust, and the silent partners who make execution possible in the first place.

1. The Mathematical Reality: Dilution is Not the Enemy 🍎

Last week, we talked about Ronald Wayne, the forgotten Apple co-founder who famously sold his 10% stake for $800 in 1976. It’s a classic story, and the headlines love to claim that his 10% would be worth hundreds of billions today.

But as a numbers-driven entrepreneur, I have to tell you: that is a financial fairy tale.

In the real world of Venture Capital, no passive founder stays at 10%. Through successive funding rounds, employee option pools, and the IPO, Ronald’s stake would have realistically diluted to about 1% or 1.5% today.

But here is the real lesson: Even diluted to just 1% of Apple’s current 14.67 billion outstanding shares, he would hold over 146 million shares.

Apple paid its first dividend in 1987, suspended it in 1995, and reinstated it under Tim Cook in 2012. At today’s annualized dividend of $1.08 per share, a diluted 1% stake would still generate over $158 million in pure passive income every single year.

That is more than $13 million flowing into his bank account every month.

Dilution is not your enemy - it is the ultimate engine of corporate scaling. It is always better to own a small slice of a multi-trillion-dollar giant than 100% of a dusty garage.

2. The Human Reality: Online Will Never Replace Offline 🤝

While mathematics allows us to scale digitally, we must never forget the currency that keeps the system stable: trust.

This Wednesday, I was on the road for two outstanding out-of-office meetings. A huge thank you to Christian Redl for the valuable appointments and the great exchange we had.

In a world where almost everything is automated, AI-driven, and digitized, many founders make the mistake of hiding behind their screens. Online is a fantastic channel to communicate. But true "Handschlagqualität" (integrity) and real, lasting partnerships are built offline.

At SKYTRADERS, we are building highly scalable digital financial rails. But we will never lose our grounding. We believe in being present online, but shaking hands offline. Because at the end of the day, people don’t buy products - people buy people.

3. The True Engine: Success is a Team Sport 🏆

This brings me to the third and most important pillar. No entrepreneur in history has ever built a lasting empire alone. Behind every public victory, there is a silent partner holding down the fort.

On August 20th, my wife Nadine celebrates her birthday.

Nadine is literally the "N" in our life's motto "TUN" (which stands for Thomas & Nadine). She manages so many unseen things behind the scenes, erdes me when the storm rages, and makes this intense journey possible in the first place.

Years ago, when I was questioning if my experiences even mattered to the world, she was the one who pushed me out of my comfort zone: "Just start writing." Without her quiet persistence, my very first book would still be an unwritten draft on my laptop.

Real success never belongs to one person on a stage. It belongs to the team of two in the background.

Stay focused and just DO IT!

Your Thomas
