Welcome back to Inside 25/8 Fintech. Building a regulated fintech ecosystem from scratch requires relentless execution, but sustainable growth is impossible without the right culture and mindset. This week, we are looking at three core principles that keep our engine room running.

Kind Candor in Leadership 🤝 For a long time as a founder, I made the mistake of being too nice to avoid applying pressure. But pure kindness without honest feedback leads to entitlement and a toxic culture. Gary Vaynerchuk recently perfectly coined this as "Kind Candor". You don't have to be mean to tell the truth. At SKYTRADERS, absolute clarity is non-negotiable. But radical honesty only works when your team knows it is rooted in deep empathy. Say the hard things, but do it with a good heart.

Resilience in the Chaos ✈️ I once spent 27 hours stranded at Frankfurt Airport amidst absolute chaos. While thousands complained, I shifted my focus to a simple mantra: "Everything is good the way it is". By stopping the complaints and focusing strictly on solutions, I secured a hotel room in five minutes while others waited for hours. You cannot control the storm, but your reaction to it dictates your outcome.

Closing the Apps in Your Head 🧠 Our 25/8 mindset is about passion, not burnout. Resilience expert HERZ Andreas taught me a brilliant metaphor: Our minds are like smartphones. If you leave the "Work", "Family", and "Problem" apps open all day, the processor crashes. High performers don't just know how to hustle; they know how to deliberately shut down. Close the mental apps at night, so you can build real value the next day.

Stay focused and just DO IT! ✨

Your Thomas
