The Mathematics of Scaling, the Illusion of Charity, and the FinTech-Manufaktur
Welcome back to Inside 25/8 Fintech. This week, we step away from daily operations to look at the macro perspective of corporate growth. We are exploring the mathematics of scaling, why venture capital dominates the financial sector, and how true value is built through proprietary infrastructure.
The Magic of Funding Rounds In July 2015, I deliberately booked my first accommodation via Airbnb for exactly 131 euros with a host named Katrin, wanting to understand how this digital marketplace attacks traditional hospitality. But having a disruptive idea like "Airbed and Breakfast" is only the first step. The true masterpiece of companies like Airbnb is the uncompromising mathematics of their funding.
Let us look at the hard numbers: In April 2009, Airbnb closed its seed round at a share price of $0.01 per share. By November 2010, the Series A pushed the share price to $0.21. In July 2011, the Series B exploded the share price to $3.31. Those who invest in the early seed phase carry the maximum risk, but they recognize what the rest of the market ignores. True value creation does not happen on the day of the IPO; it happens in the rounds before it.
The Illusion of Charity in FinTech If we apply this exact principle to today's financial market, a clear pattern emerges. Look at the Neo-Brokers and FinTech companies founded in the last 5 to 10 years. Behind the scenes of the most famous crypto exchanges and major European challenger banks, the exact same venture capital firms repeatedly appear.
Do these investors back these companies out of charity? Absolutely not. They do it because they understand how to make exponential returns through scaling digital business models. They know that building financial infrastructure is the most lucrative market in the world.

We do not view products in isolation. Instead, we network Prop Trading with our own Hedge Fund, our future Brokerage, and our proprietary in-house software development. We are engineering a true FinTech-Manufaktur.
Execution beats theory. Those who understand how genuine corporate value is built in the background know where the real leverage lies.
Stay focused and trust the process.
